Indoor Bowls League
The Manor Indoors Bowls League takes place during the winter each year from mid October to the end of March.
There are two divisions of 12 teams each and games are played on Wednesdays at Stafford Grammar School sport hall.
The games are split into 3 sessions at 7, 8 and 9pm with 4 games each session.
Two points are awarded for a win and one for a draw.

Scenes from the games of the 4th March, 2009

Each team of two has two games remaining.
The league tables after the games on the 11th March are shown below:

Losing against the Burges last week has dashed the Hancock hopes of winning the division 1 title, leaving the run in to Parsons and Robinson and Waddison and Williams.
*********

In division 2, the Knowles appear to have wrapped up the title, with the Lynes 3 points adrift.
The Lumsdens in 3rd spot have run into poor form lately but they could affect who wins the title with shock wins over the two leaders in the last two games.
If their poor form continues then anyone of 4 other teams down to the current 7th could take third place.
Anyone who wishes to play indoor bowls, please give your names to Alan Hancock; although the number of teams is restricted to 12 in each division, there are usually drop-outs each year and you could well be lucky.

There’s nothing wrong with saying hard luck! Just learn to do it without the snigger next time!
PS Has anyone found a scoreboard for this year??
