    Monday Ladies B team

    Mid table status in Division 1 after promotion last year, well done Marion and team, who are looking forward to home green clashes with Ladies A later this year;

    Wednesday Veterans

    Just missed out on automatic promotion with 3rd place in Division 2, but promoted due to a team dropping out of Division 1

    Ron Law was delighted with this success but recognises that he will have to do even better this year to maintain the status;

    Thursday 55 team

    5th in Division 1, a good result for Jim Summers who missed part of the season with his gammy leg;

    Margaret Glaister, who will take over the reins this year, aims to try and better Jim’s achievements if possible;

    Thursday Evening Cannock team

    Loss of players and very strong competition led to a 9th place and unfortunately to relegation.

    Nevertheless, an encouraging response to a call for players will mean that a stronger team will be fielded this year;

    Friday night team

    This team fell short last year and was relegated; Alan Hancock will use all his people skills to motivate the new batch of players.

    He was quoted as saying “We’ll win promotion this year as champions and take the money!”

    Saturday B team

    Another relegation victim from the top division; Helusia Hancock has set out her stall for a vigorous and successful campaign,

    it is rumoured, and promotion, again with the money is expected by the end of the programme.
