Annual General Meeting 2009

The AGM was held on Tuesday, 3rd March at Stafford Grammar School

Key points;

The fire at the clubhouse will not affect any aspects of the bowling, except perhaps limiting the social side.

The good news is that the insurance firm have accepted liability and a new clubhouse will be built on the same site; completion is currently expected to be September this year.

New members

New members are required to maintain numbers, foster competition, and improve standards.

Current members should canvas friends and colleagues and extol the virtues of the bowls camaraderie, the exercise and the fresh air, even when it rains and we are playing Rowley Park! Novices are particularly welcome, and coaching will be provided by senior players.

Race Night

The Race night, sponsored and run by the bowls club, has been postponed until the new clubhouse is available, with the postponed event in September and the next one on the usual date in February 2010.
